Cuaron wins Golden Globe for best director for ‘Gravity’

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Alfonso Cuaron has won the Golden Globe for best director for “Gravity.”

The other nominees Sunday night were Paul Greengrass, “Captain Phillips”; Steve McQueen, “12 Years a Slave”; Alexander Payne, “Nebraska”; and David O. Russell, “American Hustle.”

The 71st annual Golden Globes are airing live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
