Canucks challenge Coyotes at Rogers Arnea

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks are at home to the Phoenix Coyotes this afternoon.
The Canucks have been off since a 2-1 loss to the Nashville Predators on Thursday night to kick off their four game homestand.
It’s been a sign of recent history for the Canucks. They’ve won only three of their last 12 games. Daniel Sedin hasn’t scored in 2014, and has only one assist in his last six games.
A win is muchly needed. The Coyotes are only four points back of the Canucks in the standings. The Canucks are eighth in the Western Conference.
The Coyotes haven’t been playing well either though. They only have four wins in their last 12 games. One of those, a 1-0 win 10 days ago against the Canucks.
It should be a match-up of two Canadian Olympic goaltenders; Roberto Luongo and Mike Smith. Luongo has a save percentage of .943 in his last three starts. Mike Smith has a save percentage .947 against the Canucks this year.
