Richmond RCMP looking for attempted abduction suspect

RICHMOND (NEWS1130) – The RCMP is looking for whoever tried to abduct a woman near Blundell and No. 2 Road in Richmond early yesterday morning.
The 59-year-old was grabbed from behind at around 6:45 a.m.; she was able to struggle free.
“The fog and poor weather conditions may have helped the suspect escape as it was difficult to see,” says Corporal Stephanie Ashton. “It is best anytime you are walking in poor weather conditions to stick to well-lit streets and whenever possible travel with another person.”
The Mounties are looking for man who is about 5’7″ with a slim build. He was wearing black clothing at the time. He was last seen running along Blundell and then down Clifton Road.
He may have injured his hand.
