Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman found dead inside NYC apartment

NEW YORK CITY (NEWS1130) – Award-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has died at the age of 46.
The New York City Police Department confirm he was found inside his Manhattan apartment this morning.
The cause of death is being investigated.
Hoffman’s family says his death is “a tragic and sudden loss.”
In a statement, the family said the “outpouring of love and support” was appreciated. They asked people to respect their privacy.
He leaves behind his partner of 15 years, Mimi O’Donnell, and their three children.
Hoffman won an Academy Award in 2005 for his leading role in “Capote.”
