VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – As predicted earlier this week, snow is on the way for the Lower Mainland.
News1130 Meteorologist Russ Lacate says we can expect some flurries tomorrow. “It’ll be overcast and below zero tomorrow morning, light snow beginning around mid-day, could pick up a few centimeters through the end of the afternoon. There’s a continuing threat of snowfall by Sunday evening.”
Lacate says by Monday morning, things get tricky. “I think some areas near the mountains and into the valley will continue to get snowfall, accumulating on the ground will be another few centimetres. By the coastline, it quickly changes over to freezing rain or rain Monday morning.”
He adds there’s a threat of heavy rain and strong winds on Tuesday.
