Charges recommended in Langley shooting

LANGLEY (NEWS1130) – Charges are being recommended against a man and a woman after yesterday’s shooting in the Walnut Grove area of Langley.

RCMP in Surrey and Langley responded to reports of shots fired just after 3:30pm. Mounties say the apparent target was a licensed medicinal marijuana grow-op in the area.

The shooting happened in or around the grow-op but the motive is still under investigation.

RCMP say one person was assaulted and another suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Both are said to be associated to the licensed grow-op.

After a foot chase, several arrests were made and a firearm was seized.

Mounties say it’s anticipated charges will be recommended against a third person as well.
