Documents with description of Rob Ford crack video released

TORONTO (NEWS1130) – A media lawyer says the latest documents released in the police investigation into Toronto’s mayor contain a police description of the video appearing to show Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine.

A judge today ordered the release of search warrant information in the ongoing Project Brazen 2 investigation.

Peter Jacobsen, who represents the media consortium fighting for access to the documents, said outside court that a highlight is the official description of what’s in the infamous video.

He says police say that at one point Ford holds a glass cylinder in his mouth, lights the lighter and applies the flame to the tip of the glass cylinder in a circular motion.

Police say that after several seconds Ford appears to inhale the vapour.

At the end of the video Ford’s attention is drawn towards what looks like a cellphone and appears to look into the recording device, then drops the glass cylinder and lighter on a table, briefly points at the camera and asks if it’s on.
