Deadline to decide on Canucks season tickets bumped up

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – You don’t have a lot of time to decide if you want to be a Canucks season ticket holder.

The deadline to renew for next season is April 9th, a couple of weeks sooner than last year.

Mario Livich with Showtime Tickets says there may be a good reason for the deadline being pushed up. “The realization that they won’t be in the playoffs, maybe they just want to wrap up business sooner so they can go on with their off-season activity.”

“We’re in touch with so many season ticket holders on a daily basis who are looking for guidance, looking to sell their tickets. There’s a lot of confusion and indecision right now. They’re not sure if they want to commit,” he adds.

He says sales have dropped since the Luongo trade. Sales have crawled to a virtual standstill about three weeks ago, until prices came down substantially.”

But he says they are now picking back up as people find more bang for their buck.
