Man arrested in Surrey after SUV carjacked, RCMP recommend charges
SURREY (NEWS1130) – A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a series of crimes that included the carjacking of a woman’s SUV with her baby inside.
Surrey RCMP say the suspect was apprehended Tuesday afternoon without incident not far from where the stolen vehicle was located.
Police are recommending a number of charges including robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and unlawful confinement.

The suspect has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Dec. 27.
Police say none of the multiple victims were seriously injured but are all recovering from a very traumatic experience.
