Suspected drive-by shooting kills one in Richmond

RICHMOND (NEWS 1130) – A homicide investigation has been launched after a car crashed on Granville Avenue and No.2 Road in Richmond on Sunday afternoon.

RCMP Corporal Dennis Hwang says officers were alerted by witnesses who said they heard gunshots at around 3 p.m. “A crashed vehicle was discovered with a lone deceased occupant. This incident is being deemed a homicide.”

The RCMP is releasing very few details about the victim.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is now in charge of the case.
