Shots fired again in East Vancouver
VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Police are trying to figure out who’s behind what they’re calling a targeted shooting in East Vancouver.

Shots rang out in the area of 10th Avenue and Kamloops Street just before 10:30 p.m. near some homes and an apartment building. This is the second time since last week there has been a shooting in the Renfrew-Collingwood area.
Police say they’ve determined a man was parked on Kamloops when the suspect came over and tried to shoot him in the driver’s seat.
“No one was injured, but the victim’s car and another unoccupied vehicle were hit before the suspect fled in an awaiting vehicle,” reads a release from the Vancouver Police Department.
“Although the suspect missed the victim, this is a residential neighbourhood, and a bullet has to stop somewhere,” says Constable Jason Doucette. “Luckily no one was injured. We need anyone with information about this shooting to contact us.”
Witnesses tell NEWS 1130 they heard four or five shots, but initially thought it may have been fireworks.

Police say this appears to be a targeted hit.
Last week shots were fired around Kings Avenue just west of Reid Street.
