Ticket prices rising for Sedins’ final home games

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Resale prices for the Canucks’ final home games of the season are rising, following news Henrik and Daniel Sedin will be calling it a career.

The team has two games left at Rogers Arena — one against the Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow and another against the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday — before wrapping up the season in Edmonton on Saturday.

Earlier this morning, tickets to the home games were going for about $40 USD on StubHub. A few hours after the Sedins’ announcement, tickets to tomorrow’s game started at about $117 USD, while tickets to Thursday’s game started at $205 USD.

The twins wrote an open letter to fans, saying “Being part of the Canucks family for 18 seasons has been the best period of our lives. But it’s time to focus on our families and life after hockey.”

They say they plan to remain part of the community after their retirement. “Vancouver has given us so much and we’ve tried to give everything we have in return. That won’t change.”
