VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A medical emergency on board a Westjet flight from Vancouver to Toronto Sunday morning will see some passengers’ travel plans delayed by up to a day.
Flight 700 left Vancouver airport as scheduled at about 6:45 am with 134 passengers on board, but late in the flight had to make an emergency landing in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
The airline tells NEWS 1130 that the incident was caused by a medical emergency on board but isn’t providing any more details.
Westjet says it’s now rebooking passengers on scheduled flights from Thunder Bay to Toronto, but admits some may not reach their destination until Monday.
