Consultation open on Burnaby Mountain gondola routes

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — TransLink wants public feedback as it moves forward with the idea of creating a gondola up Burnaby Mountain.
A new round of public consultation for the proposed gondola to SFU is open for the next three weeks.

Translink wants to know which route options people would prefer.
One would come up the east side of the Mountain from Production Way, another would be up the west side of the hill from Lake City. A third option would also start from Production Way, but then snake along Gaglardi Way before heading up to the university.

The vast majority of the 13,000 submissions TransLink’s received in its first round of public consultation were in support of the project, which is meant to replace the existing bus fleet.
