Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, died on April 9, 2021, at the age of 99.
Philip has been by his wife’s side for more than 70 years — the first five years as husband to then Princess Elizabeth and then as both husband and consort to the Queen. But the Duke of Edinburgh is not your average consort.
