BC Liberals’ first leadership race debate to be held Sept. 8

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — The BC Liberal leadership race continues with the party setting a date for the first debate of the contest.
The debate will be live-streamed Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. from an as-yet-undisclosed location.

Five candidates are vying for the job, including: former transportation minister Kevin Falcon, business consultant Gavin Dew, Vancouver-Langara MLA Michael Lee, Skeena MLA Ellis Ross, and former BC Chamber of Commerce CEO Val Litwin.
“This debate will be an exciting opportunity for our members to hear directly from the leadership candidates about their vision for our Party moving forward.” Colin Hansen co-chair of the Party’s Leadership Election Organizing Committee said in a statement.
Members will pick their new leader on Feb. 5, 2022.
