A little girl was struck by a vehicle in East Vancouver Wednesday morning, but is expected to be alright.
The girl, who is pre-school-aged, was hit in the area of Clark Drive near East 11 Avenue around 10 a.m.
“It appears a child was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road,” police wrote in an email.

“Despite a pretty hard impact, the child did not suffer life-threatening injuries. She was taken to hospital and will likely be sore for a while,” a statement from police reads.
The driver is cooperating with police and the VPD is still investigating all the circumstances of what happened, but say it’s unlikely the weather was a factor.
