Vancouver police make arrest in Langara flasher case

A man has been arrested after flashers were repeatedly reported at Langara College in Vancouver over the past couple of months.

Vancouver police say Christopher Ram was arrested Sunday afternoon near the Main Street-Science World SkyTrain station.

The first incident reported to police happened on March 20 when a student said a man exposed himself in the college library. The same situation was reported to police on March 27, this time in front of a staff member in an unidentified location.

In the most recent report, a man allegedly flashed another student in the library.

Vancouver police have previously said the suspect descriptions in each case were similar. However, Ram is currently only charged with one count of an indecent act, in relation to the March 27 incident.

A warrant had also been issued for the 35-year-old for two unrelated indecent acts, police say.

The VPD says the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 604-717-0604.
