Coquitlam shooting leaves one person dead

One person is dead after a shooting in Coquitlam late Thursday night.

Officers were called to Lambert Way near Turner Avenue just before 11 p.m. When they arrived, they found a woman who had been shot inside a car.

Despite trying to save her, the victim died at the scene.

The RCMP says the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in.
