Husband charged with murder in Surrey stabbing
The husband of a Surrey woman who died after being stabbed has now been charged with her murder.
According to police, Surrey RCMP were called on Dec. 7 to a home near 66 Ave. and 127 Street for reports of a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found 40-year-old Harpreet Kaur Gill with multiple stab wounds. First responders tried to help her, but police say she died on the way to the hospital.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says the woman’s husband, 40-year-old Navinder Gill, was arrested on the scene but released the day after as officers continued the investigation.
But IHIT says on Thursday he was arrested again, and on Friday charged with second degree-murder.
