Pilot hurt after plane crashes near Pitt Meadows Regional Airport

A pilot is hurt after a plane crashed near the Pitt Meadows Regional Airport Sunday afternoon.

According to the Ridge Meadows RCMP, the pilot was the only person on the plane.

Mounties say officers were called to the area near the airport around 3 p.m.

Investigators didn’t say why the plane went down, however, the Ridge Meadows Investigative Support Team looked into the crash and said criminality was not a factor.

Mounties say the pilot was minorly hurt and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
