Surrey arson suspect sought
Mounties in Surrey are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with an arson investigation.
The RCMP says officers were called to a building along 100 Avenue, east of King George Boulevard, around 12:45 p.m. on Monday, June 5, for reports of a fire at the entrance.
Firefighters were quickly able to put the flames out, with the RCMP saying the building sustained “minimal damage,” with no injuries reported.

Through its investigation, the Surrey RCMP says “it is clear the fire was deliberately set.” However, a motive has yet to be identified.
Mounties are now sharing images of a suspect who was seen running from the scene of the fire.

Police say the man was wearing a grey hoodie, green shirt, grey shorts, black shoes, and was carrying a dark black backpack at the time of the incident.
