Vancouver-bound United flight sees ‘non-credible’ bomb threat: FBI

A United Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Vancouver was diverted Monday because of a bomb threat, according to police.

In a statement to CityNews, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) says the bomb threat to the flight was “deemed non-credible.”

“The flight was able to leave SFO this morning. There were no arrests made,” the San Francisco bureau said.

United Airlines declined to provide more information regarding the incident, only explaining the Airbus A320 landed safely in San Francisco instead and was met by local police.

The flight had 148 passengers and eight crew members onboard.
