It’s a not so Merry Christmas Eve for one city employee, after their truck fell through a wooden bridge on Granville Island.
Images posted to Reddit show a small orange maintenance truck with a plow attached to its front whose rear end has fallen through the slats of a wooden pedestrian bridge.
According to a statement from the City of Vancouver, the incident is under investigation and no one was injured.

It’s currently unclear why the truck was on a pedestrian bridge.
“At this time, the exact details are under examination, and further information will be provided upon the conclusion of the investigation,” the city said in a statement to CityNews.
The city is asking pedestrians to avoid the fenced off area around the bridge and take another route onto the island.
