Grouse shuts downhill area due to weather

If you were hoping to get in some spring skiing or snowboarding Tuesday at one of the North Shore mountains, you won’t be able to at Grouse.
The resort says it is closing its downhill area for the day “due to forecasted inclement weather.”
“The Skyride, Chalet facilities, and all other Mountaintop activities will be closing at 5 p.m.,” Grouse Mountain said in a social media post.
Webcams provided by the mountain show foggy conditions as of 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, with limited visibility.
Currently, the downhill area is open weekdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
