Police in North Vancouver have arrested a suspected impaired driver caught going the wrong way on Highway 1 last week.

The RCMP says officers caught up with the driver near the Mountain Highway exit without any incidents.

Last week, we received multiple 911 calls about a driver traveling the wrong way on Hwy one near the Mountain Hwy exit. The driver was arrested for “impaired driving” and is now facing criminal charges.

Mounties say it could have turned out much worse.
