One person arrested, IHIT called to Mission overnight after man dies

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) was called after a man died on a rural property in Mission overnight, the RCMP says.

Mounties say they were called by the BC Ambulance Service to a home on Dewdney Trunk Road near Statim Street around 11 p.m. Friday.

They arrived to find a 25-year-old man unresponsive, and he could not be resuscitated.

Police arrested a suspect, who remains in custody.

IHIT investigators will be working with the Mission RCMP to gather evidence at the scene.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or email ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
