No injuries reported in ‘extremely intense’ house fire in Richmond
Richmond Fire-Rescue says nobody was hurt in a house fire on Bamfield Road Thursday.
When crews arrived, flames and smoke could be seen coming out of the building, said Battalion Chief Ed Selinger.
Selinger called the fire “extremely intense.”

“It was breaking through the roof and everything,” he said. “We had some access challenges getting on top of it.”
Selinger says there were occupants when the fire broke out, but they escaped uninjured.
“The family was able to get out. All family pets were able to get out,” he said.
“No injuries to any residents in the structure. “
He says damage was contained to just the one home.

“It did not extend any other houses,” he said.
“There was some damage from other circumstances, but there was no fire extension any other residences.”
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
