Cyclist struck by truck driver dies on East Vancouver road

Police say a cyclist died Thursday afternoon after a collision with the driver of a delivery truck in East Vancouver.

“The driver of a five-tonne delivery truck collided with a cyclist,” said police.
Despite life-saving attempts by first responders, the cyclist, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.
“Traffic on Nanaimo Street in both directions will be impacted while investigators collect evidence,” said police.
Drivers can take Victoria Drive and 33rd Avenue as a detour to avoid the intersection
