The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it is investigating after shots were fired at a residence overnight.
Officers were called to a residence on 124th Street near 78th Avenue at 2:43 a.m. When they arrived, they found gunshot damage on the outside of the home, the SPS says.
Police say several people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no injuries have been reported.
“Officers will be on scene throughout the day to examine the area for physical and digital evidence,” police said.
“At this early stage, the motive for the shots fired remains under investigation, and investigators will be liaising with police partners to determine if there are any links to other files.”
Anyone with dash cam footage or information about the shooting is asked to call the SPS at 604-599-0502 and refer to file 25-94161 (SP).
The shooting happened at the same time — 2:43 a.m. — as a similar incident just 12 blocks away in Surrey. Surrey Police Service (SPS) Staff Sgt. Lindsay Houghton tells CityNews that the SPS and DPD are liaising to see if the two shootings are connected, given the timing and proximity.
