Surrey police confirm they are investigating shots fired at a home

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) has confirmed it is investigating a shooting at a home on Saturday morning.
Sgt. Tige Pollock says police are gathering evidence as they work to determine if there are any links to other files.

According to police, this incident is the 94 reported extortion in 2025, 43 of which are related to shots fired.
Officers were called to the home, located on 32nd Avenue near 170th Street, shortly after 8:30 a.m.
“SPOSU [the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit] officers arrived and confirmed that damage to the exterior of the residence had been caused by gun shots,” Pollock said.
“RCMP SPOSU General Investigation Unit (GIU) has taken conduct of the investigation.”
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., Pollock told 1130 NewsRadio 32nd Avenue will be closed between 168th and 172nd streets two to three hours.
Callers to the station report a heavy police presence in the area.
Anyone with information or video footage of the incident or suspects is asked to call the SPS at 604-599-0502 and refer 25-61960 (SU).
