Police make arrest after stabbing in Langley’s Willoughby area

The Langley RCMP says it has arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with a stabbing in the city’s Willoughby neighbourhood Thursday.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of 199th Street and 64th Avenue shortly after 4 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a 46-year-old man who was suffering from a serious stab wound.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team has deployed to assist the Langley RCMP with this investigation,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom.

Police say this was a targeted attack with no ongoing risk to the general public.

The victim was taken to hospital for further assessment, police say.
