Emergency crews were called to the home, which is located between Clay Street and Keystone Avenue, shortly after 8 a.m., BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) said Monday.
When they arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames.
Mounties say a second resident, a 69-year-old man, was airlifted to hospital with serious burns.
“We do extend our deepest condolences to the family of the missing woman as they await word from the fire department,” Mohr said.
“We also wish the man who was burned a full recovery from this tragic event.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is not believed to be suspicious, Mohr says.
Photos taken at the scene show smoke billowing from the home.
