Man dead, 5 people injured after multi-vehicle crash in Delta

The Delta Police Department (DPD) says a man is dead and five people are injured after a crash involving four vehicles Wednesday afternoon.

Police say they were called to the scene of the collision, located in the 9800 block of Ladner Trunk Road, just after 3 p.m.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the DPD says.

Police report five others were taken to hospital with various injuries. 

The area was closed to traffic between 96 Street and Highway 91 after the crash while officers investigated.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage is asked to call police.
