Byelection called for Abbotsford-Mission seat

Premier David Eby has called a byelection in the Abbotsford-Mission electoral district following the resignation of former MLA Reann Gasper.

The seat became vacant on Aug. 22 when Gasper stepped down from her position in the B.C. legislature in order to let Conservative leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay run.

Residents of Abbotsford-Mission will head to the polls on Saturday, Sept. 26, which has been set as the final voting day for the byelection.

Eligible voters who need information about registering or voting can contact Elections BC toll-free at 1-800-661-8683 or visit elections.bc.ca for details on voting options and eligibility requirements.
