Shooting in Delta leaves one injured

An early morning shooting in Delta has left one person with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.

The Delta Police Department says officers responded to reports of shots fired around 4:33 a.m. Sunday on 64th Avenue near the Highway 91 off-ramp.

Police say the suspect vehicle was identified as a grey Kia Forte that left the area before officers arrived.

Investigators remain at the scene gathering evidence.

The 10600 block of 64th Avenue is closed in all directions while the investigation continues.

Anyone with information about the incident, including dashcam footage recorded in the area of 64th Avenue between 4 a.m. and 4:45 a.m., is asked to contact Delta police at 604-946-4411.
