One dead after Surrey shooting

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – One person is dead after a shooting in Surrey.

Police have converged on the parking lot of a McDonald’s on 96th Avenue and Prince Charles Boulevard in Whalley.

A large yellow tarp is covering the front of a vehicle.

One witness reported hearing six gunshots around 9 P.M. and seeing that same vehicle crash almost crash into the Mcdonald’s sign.

Inspector Suki Manj with Surrey RCMP says the shooting appears targeted and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called.

No names have been released.

Mounties are expected to be on scene all night.
