VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Canadians have found themselves ordering takeout via Uber Eats more frequently in recent weeks thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Uber Eats says there’s been a spike in Canadians using the app to enjoy restaurant food.
In B.C., Uber Eats says the top foods are comfort foods include miso soup, butter chicken and California rolls.
“Whether it’s to help support local businesses, or taking a break from dinner duty, hungry British Columbians have continued to order their favourite meals for takeout and delivery with Uber Eats,” an email reads.
When comparing B.C.’s cravings to the rest of the country, Canadians have also been enjoying B.C.’s top pick but are even ordering, poutine, naan, bubble tea, shawarma and onion rings.
