Wildfire evacuation order for residents near Gustafsen Lake in Thompson-Nicola Regional District

100 MILE HOUSE (NEWS 1130) — An evacuation order is now in effect for people who live near Gustafsen and Neilson Lakes, west of 100 Mile House.

The Flat Lake fire has grown to 14,000 hectares and is now threatening homes in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District Electoral Area “E”, Bonaparte Plateau.

People living in 100 Mile House are currently on alert and may be forced to leave their homes if the situation worsens.

The regional district says that if you are in the described area, “you must leave immediately.”
