Sea to Sky Highway re-opened south of Squamish after crash

Drivers from the Lower Mainland weren’t able to get to Squamish or Whistler for hours on Tuesday, after a crash temporarily closed the Sea to Sky Highway.

The collision happened at around 9:15 a.m. between Lions Bay and Porteau Cove. Traffic was blocked in both directions.

The route re-opened at about 1 p.m. to single lane alternating traffic.

It was fully re-opened by about 2:30 p.m.
