Langley restaurant destroyed in overnight fire

A man is in custody after a fire at an Aldergrove restaurant early Sunday morning.

Police and fire crews recieved calls of a blaze at the El Greko restaurant on Fraser Highway just after midnight.

They arrived to the building fully engulfed in flames.

Mounties have a man in custody who admitted to starting the fire in the back alley — saying it got out of hand after he just wanted to keep warm.

Charges are pending.
