More charges laid against Vancouver woman after alleged series of druggings

Police in Surrey have announced more charges against a Vancouver woman accused in an alleged series of druggings.
The Surrey RCMP says Jessica Kane was first charged with several offenses last October but is now facing a new series of additional charges.

Kane is facing charges including obstruction of justice, failure to comply with a release order, robbery, and administering a stupefying or overpowering drug or substance.
Mounties say Kane is now on house arrest with a number of “strict conditions,” including “reporting to a bail supervisor, not to engage in any employment that requires her to be inside another person’s private residence, and not to engage in sex trade work.”

Kane was first arrested in September of last year, and police claimed at the time that she deliberately gave several of her escort clients a “stupefying drug” before robbing them. In one case, police said a man died in 2021 after being given the drug.
According to police, the alleged offenses were in multiple cities in Metro Vancouver, including Vancouver, Surrey, and Burnaby.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact local police.
