BC United launches new party name in Surrey

“Better is possible” with B.C. United, according to party leader Kevin Falcon.

Formerly the B.C. Liberals, the party made its rebrand official Wednesday night in Surrey.

Falcon says the group is “forging a new path” with this rebrand, as he unveiled the party’s new name, logo, and branding.

“This is a significant step toward what I know will be an extraordinary future for this province,” he said. “B.C. United is way more than just a new name. We’re here to say to British Columbians: we will work relentlessly to make life better for you, and we will deliver.”

Falcon criticized current B.C. Premier David Eby’s “catch and release policy” on repeat criminal offenders, and claims his party would build and open a second hospital in Surrey

He adds the party will be rolling out new policies over the coming months to “tackle the big issues” in the province.

“We’re about taking on B.C.’s biggest challenges and seizing our greatest opportunities, so our kids, and their kids, can have the future they deserve.”

“It won’t just be our words, we want to be judged by our actions, how we’re going to make change happen in British Columbia,” he said.

However, Falcon will have a lot of work ahead of him if he wants to become premier, according to the latest poll from the Angus Reid Institute.

Data shows little more than 20 per cent of voters have a favourable view of the leader.
