The Surrey RCMP says a two-vehicle collision in front of Surrey Memorial Hospital injured four people, including an infant, Monday afternoon.
Mounties say emergency crews responded to the crash around 2:13 p.m. at the intersection of King George Boulevard and 96 Avenue.
“When officers arrived on scene, they worked closely with Surrey Fire Service and BC Emergency Health Services to extricate all parties involved in the collision. The drivers of both vehicles, including a passenger and infant travelling in the Nissan Rogue, were all transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” said Sgt. Tammy Lobb.
Witnesses tell CityNews they saw people being pulled from the vehicles, at least one of which appears to have rolled over in images from the scene.
Police say the investigation into the crash is ongoing, and eastbound lanes on 96 Avenue remain closed.
“Anyone who has information regarding this incident or may have dash camera footage is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-122943,” said Lobb.
