Crash slows EB Highway 1 in Fraser Valley

A two-vehicle crash along Highway 1 in Abbotsford, at the border with Chilliwack, shut the eastbound lanes of the major route Monday morning.

As of 9:30 a.m., the road had reopned, but major delays were reported as congestion eased.

DriveBC says the incident blocked traffic just east of No. 3 Road on the Sumas Drainage Canal bridge. The westbound lanes were not affected.

People are being asked to expect delays. People are taking No. 3 Road to get around the incident.
