The victim says he was trying to sell two cards valued around $7,000 each via Facebook Marketplace.

The suspects reportedly bear-sprayed him and sped away in a vehicle.

Officers intercepted the suspect vehicle in Burnaby near the intersection of MacPherson Avenue and Beresford Street.

Three suspects, two 15-year-old and a 16-year old, were arrested at the scene.

The suspects were released from custody Thursday and the VPD says it will recommend criminal charges to the BC Prosecution Service.

“One Pokémon card was recovered and returned to the victim.”

Const. Darren Wong reminds Vancouver residents that trades or sales arranged online can be made at the VPD Safe Exchange Location outside headquarters at 2120 Cambie Street.
