Tips to keep your sanity during Christmas travel

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The mall isn’t the only place that’s crowded during the holidays. We’re at YVR where the Christmas travel rush is about to begin.

Today is the last day of school and the first day of huge crowds of families and individuals making the trek elsewhere to see loved ones.  Nancy Baggio at YVR operations says you can help ease holiday stress by being prepared in advance: Confirm your flight details, have your proper ID and documentation ready, and don’t wrap those gifts, “There’s a pretty good chance they’ll get unwrapped if you are carrying them on, so you might as well just leave them unwrapped and if you like, when you get to YVR we do offer free gift wrapping in some parts of the terminal, so you might as well let us wrap them for you once you get through security.”

The biggest piece of advice? Be patient.
