VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Fraud charges against Jonathon Bacon have been thrown out. Crown prosecutors made the decision, saying the case probably wouldn’t end in a conviction. Bacon was charged after a car was leased from a dealership in Coquitlam using false documents.
Dennis Karbovanec, his co-accused in the case, is already in jail after he pleaded guilty in connection with three of the Surrey Six killings.
As well, a local gang leader doesn’t want to stay in a U.S. jail for 30 years. Clayton Roueche, who founded the UN Gang, is going to appeal his 30 year sentence on drug and money laundering charges. Prosecutors in Seattle say he had been running a continent-wide drug ring.
