VSB employees on paid leave for ‘human resources’ issue

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130):  Several Vancouver School Board employees have been placed on paid leave while they are investigated for what the board is calling a ‘human resources’ issue.  There are reports as many as 15 employees may have accessed pornography on VSB computers.

VSB Chair Patti Bacchus won’t confirm the allegations or say what department the staff work in.  “What I can tell you is that there is a Human Resources issue at the moment that is being investigated, and there are some employees who have been placed on paid leave pending that investigation.”

The school board says it is trying to conclude the investigation as quickly as possible.
