Skate Canada has named its Olympic team

LONDON, ONT. (NEWS1130) – Following the conclusion of the 2010 Canadian Figure Skating Championships in London, Ontario, Skate Canada has revealed the skaters named to the Olympic team. Representing Canada in the men’s event are Patrick Chan who had a score of 268.2, and Vaughn Chipeur who scored 222.10. Chan has won three consecutive national titles and Chipeur earned his second straight national silver medal.
Named to the Olympic team and representing the women’s event are Joannie Rochette, who won her sixth straight Canadian women’s singles title and Cynthia Phaneuf.
Jessica Dube and partner Bryce Davison and Anabelle Langlois and partner Cody Hay will be representing Canada in the pairs division. Canada’s ice dance teams heading to Vancouver for the Games are Tessa Virtue and partner Scott Moir who will be joined by Vanessa Crone and partner Paul Poirier.
